Keeps coffee, tea or your chosen drink warm up to 60 degrees celsius - it is not meant meant to heat up the drink or boil it - will only keep the beverage warm once it has been properly heated. Do be aware the surface does get hot to touch and the size will not fit a large mug. The warmer also does not work on mugs which have a lip or rim around the base of the cup as this gap prevents the heat from reaching the actual base bottom of the mug.
